It’s been a big year for music, and for learning. Thanks to Rebecca Black
, we now know the days of the week. The whole Thursday/Friday thing always confused me, but now I know which order they actually occur! It was a frustrating 30 years getting that one wrong, let me tell you. And last night on the Real Housewives Of New Jersey
, Gia Giudice joined in on the fun! In tribute to her younger sister Milania’s birthday, she wrote a song. In this song, we not only learn how absolutely fucking horrible Gia Giudice’s voice is, but we learn how to count: Milania was born, then she was one/then she was two/then she was three/then she was four/now she is five! Wow. Songs about counting are always my favorite.
You know what’s not my favorite? The other song Gia sang, which she dedicates to her mother and her uncle Joe Gorga. I don’t know why she sang it at her little sister’s pizza party. I don’t know why everyone clapped instead of immediately signing up for family counseling. I don’t know why Joe and Teresa Giudice looked proud of Gia instead of, I don’t know, completely mortified. But I do know, it was painful to watch. Like, actually cringe worthy, you want to hit the mute button or take a pee break because you absolutely cannot take how painful this song is kind of pain. I mean, first of all, it’s terrible. As in, wow what a really bad song. And she is trying to sing well, even as she holds back tears. She throws in some extra embarrassing “Ohh-oh-oh” moments that I am sure will haunt her for the rest of her life. And all of it is about how worried she is about her family. I mean.
I really can’t bring myself to make fun of it. I want to. My gut says, Shelly! It’s hilarious! My gut is apparently a heartless bitch. Because it so isn’t. She is a kid and every time I try to make a joke, I delete it. So instead of making fun of it, I’ll just let Gia explain to you how she feels. Spoiler: she feels like her family sucks.
