News & Notes

I was really happy to see that Ndamukong Suh, the
DT from Nebraska was voted AP Player of the Year.
I just hope that his future isn't as bleak as some
of the others that have won that award. You can
certainly the case that only one winner on this
list
has seen true success in the NFL up to this point.

Chris Henry was laid to rest in New Orleans
today
, and though on any other occasion it would be
easy to poke fun at the sight of seeing Commissioner
Goodell embrace Chad Ocho Cinco, today we'll
refrain from such cheeseball antics, and pay our
respects to Chris, his family, and the Bengals.
May He Rest In Peace.

Interesting Giants Raiders stat that should be
disturbing if you're a NY Giants fan. Though
the Giants beat the raiders in their only
meeting this year, by a score of 44-7, a 37
point difference. The Giants(8-6) have
allowed 7 more points that the Raiders(5-9)
have on the season.
So if you removed that
blowout, that means that they have allowed
44 points points than Oakland. Which brings
to mind 3 things. 1) How much do the G-Men
miss Steve Spagnuolo? 2) How confident can
they truly feel heading into the playoffs?
3) Antonio Pierce should be careful what kind
of Karma he brings upon himself, and his
teammates, when he make statements like he
made after thrashing the Raiders back in October.

In case you interested Jordan Rodgers, the younger
brother of the Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron
Rodgers has signed a letter of intent to play for
for Vanderbilt
in college. That is, just in case
you're interested.
