Famous TV series the Sopranos (1999-2007) star and Desperate Housewives actress Drea De Matteo and and her fiance shooter Waylon Jennings have got a son. Waylon Albert 'Blackjack' Jennings (name of the baby) was born in Los Angeles on Thursday morning. The proud father took to social networking site Twitter to inform followers of the good news, Us magazine reports. Jennings tweeted: "Waylon Albert 'Blackjack' Jennings has arrived. Thanks for all the kind words folks! We're super lucky to have so many kind friends!"
This is the couple's second child, who already have a daughter together. The name of their daughter is Alabama Gypsy Rose, 3. The ex-girlfriend of Jennings, Lindsay Lohan has said that she is going to make a plan for the baby when he gets older. She wrote: "Congratulations to @ShooterJennings on the arrival of his new baby boy!! Can't wait to take him to a casino! (sic)"
Their son's unusual name is reportedly a tribute to Jennings' father, late country singer Waylon Jennings. This grandfather Waylon made history as he luckily escaped death while he was touring with Buddy Holly as his bass player. He was due to be a passenger on the plane that crashed and killed the 'Peggy Sue' singer on February 3, 1959, but gave up his seat to singer-and-songwriter J.P. 'The Big Bopper' Richardson.
Shooter Jennings ,31, has followed in his father's musical footsteps, and is now pursuing a solo career with his backing band HIEROPHANT. The couple have been together over 9 years, with Jennings proposing to the actress on stage during a concert at the Stanley Center in Utica, New York. on June 11, 2009.
Since leaving the Sopranos, De Matteo,39, has worked on several projects, most notably now-defunct 'Friends' spin-off 'Joey.' She also completed a stint on Desperate Housewives opposite on-screen husband JOHN BARROWMAN.
