Most hated:
- Finally Mike Chang gets a storyline (I say this like I wanted one, but let's be honest: I don't give a shit about Mike Chang) and it's that his father is an overbearing Asian stereotype and his mother is his stereotypical "I gave up my dreams" wife. Barf.
- Mercedes. No seriously, every single thing she did for one straight hour was horrid, from telling off a teacher to antagonizing all her friends to quitting a club about unity because she didn't come out on top. I don't understand why they keep trying to sell her as this character. Doesn't everyone understand that the world has room for Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson? Also, I'm sorry, Mercedes is the obvious choice for Anita in West Side Story and that's what should've happened. I mean, if we're going for this whole Dreamgirls scenario, um...we're not really comparing Mercedes to Beyonce, now are we? No, you're shoving this Jennifer Hudson comparison so far down our throats, we're choking on it. So stop contradicting yourself, idiots.
- Despite being best friends with Kurt and typically one of his biggest supporters, Rachel sneaks behind his back and selfishly runs for Student Council President in an effort to one-up everyone.
- In turn, Kurt tells her it's more important that he win for the school because despite all this talk about patriarchy and making a difference, a gay kid winning matters more. Than what, girl power? Is he saying that gay rights trump women's rights? I don't get it. (I do get it: Ryan Murphy is saying that gay rights trump women's rights)
- Will's incessant need to treat Emma like she's his daughter or his project, trying to FIX HER instead of just listening to her and being patient to her needs. That's very supportive, as you shove porn in her face so that she knows your dick is still waiting for a ride. Gross.
Runner up for most hated:
- Matt Morrison completely ruining Coldplay's "Fix You." While I hate Will as a character, I'm not deaf. Matt Morrison is a great performer. But his rendition of this song was about four octaves higher than it should've been and it was cheesy and horrid. Ugh.
Things I actually liked:
- Emma's jacket. Look, isn't it cute?
