Lacey Schwimmer is excited to have Chaz Bono as a dancing partner

The fourth place finalist of the third season (2007-2008) of "So You Think You Can Dance," Lacey Schwimmer says she is very excited to be a partner of Chaz Bono for this fall's thirteenth edition of "Dancing with the Stars."

This 23-year-old American competitive ballroom dancer, singer, and the winner of multiple youth championships  tweeted Wednesday afternoon, "I'm so thrilled to let you know my dance partner on [Dancing with the Stars] is [Chaz Bono]!! He is such an amazing person! And so sweet! Weee!"  "He has been working so hard this past week! Such a beautiful person inside and out!" she added about the transgender advocate, who was born Chastity Bono to entertainers Sonny and Cher but underwent a sex change in 2009 and legally became a man last year.

This 42-year-old is the first transgender person to compete on the ABC reality ballroom dancing competition. She said during a Wednesday appearance on Ryan Seacrest's On Air with Ryan Seacrest radio show,

"[Lacey] really thought it was great that I was doing it and wanted to know how I was feeling about it -- if I was nervous and how it was going." She added, "We met last week and just kind of instantly hit it off... she's just great. I was so nervous going into it about who my partner was going to be -- you have no idea until you meet them -- and I was really relieved that it was Lacey... I just dig her... she has a great attitude for teaching me."

The "Dancing with the Stars' thirteenth season is going to premiere on September 19, 2011 at 8PM.
