Get The Tissues Out, Gleeks

Everybody's favorite self-indulgent hack writer (sorry, Gleeks) Ryan Murphy has announced, after much hinting, that at least three of Glee's big stars will not be returning after season three. Murphy told The Hollywood Reporter that Chris Colfer, Lea Michele and Cory Monteith (Kurt, Rachel and Finn, respectively) will be graduating from high school and thus, leaving Glee forever.

Considering Glee's rapid decline from decent entertainment (with bonus good singing) to complete horror-show of abysmal writing (with the added pain of shitty covers) I say good for them. Get out while you can. Even though Kurt Hummel is one of the most self-entitled, repulsive characters on television, Chris Colfer shows a lot of actual ability and probably has a nice dramatic career ahead of him. Lea Michele could likely do anything. Cory Montieth, um...I'm sure he'll get work.

Will people watch Glee after they're gone? Or will the show be so irrelevant by then that no one will care? Maybe it's too soon to tell. Murphy said he'd discussed the departure with both Colfer and Michele and that, "...while he hasn’t discussed graduation plans with Monteith yet, he presumes he’s aware that Finn will be among those graduating. 'He knows he was a sophomore when the show started.'”   True story: that made me LOL.
