KIMBA TO THE RESCUE!
Kimberley Walsh has jumped to the defence of her friend Nadine Coyle and urged the press to stop being so mean.
The Girls Aloud star has taken a battering in the media due to the disappointing sales of her debut single and album (both titled Insatiable), which entered the charts at number 26 and 47 respectively.
Writing in her OK! column this week, Kimba says: “The slating Nadine’s got in the press for her single sales was mean.
“Nadine is just happy to release the music she loves and I think people need to give her a break. Chart positions are not always the most important thing.”
Walsh – who recently said she is bored of Girls Aloud stories – also revealed she’s a fan of Nadine’s record. “I bought the album and there are some really good songs on there that could be big hits,” she said.
“We want her to do well and we’re supporting her all the way. She’s not the type to dwell on things and I think she’s just happy that her music’s out there.”
