The mother of Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham was officially charged for assault in an Iowa court on Wednesday, Radaronline.com reports.

It was reported on Monday that Debra Danielson had an argument with daughter Abraham, 18, over "child care issues as well as other problems" on Saturday Jan. 16. When Danielson threw a t-shirt that landed near her infant granddaughter Sophia, Abraham yelled loudly -- leading Danielson to allegedly grab Abraham by the throat and "hit her along the side of her head and hit her in the mouth," a police report reads.

Police observed "multiple cuts to the right side of the victim's mouth."
Abraham's official bio on MTV.com acknowledges the friction with her mother:
"High school cheerleader turned single mom, Farrah is facing the challenge of raising her daughter Sophia without her baby's father in the picture. Farrah lives at home with her mom, Debra, who helps with childcare but also nags Farrah about every decision -- especially about how to take care of Sophia."
