Golden Roberts
During Girls Aloud's early years, the pale redhead used to spend hundreds of pounds on tanning products in an attempt to blend her tanned, glossy bandmates.
After turning her back on bronzing and learning to love her pale complexion, the
Cheshire-native is finally happier in her own skin.
Roberts admits to be a 'tanorexic' in the past, but after having an epiphany three years ago, has embraced her alabaster skin.
She said: 'I tried to cover up my insecurities by turning into a big-time tanorexic.
'I had every product from every range. It filled a shelf in my bathroom and no matter how exhausted I was, I needed my fix.'Roberts was asked to present the documentary after she previously highlighted the danger of tanning drugs on BBC News in November 2008.
When she was interviewed by Huw Edwards, she said: 'I was very young when I was using fake tan and I didn't care. I had a very narrow-minded view on what was pretty and what wasn't. I automatically thought that tanned was attractive.
'As I got older, I realised fake tan was rather messy and I wanted to look cleaner, classier and more demure.
