Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port have been given the pink slip.
A Women's Wear Daily report claims that Teen Vogue has decided not to renew its partnership with the MTV mega-hit next season.Conrad worked as an intern; Port, a West Coast fashion editor.Officials for both the magazine and MTV declined to comment. But a source tells WWD that magazine officials did not approve of the stars' wild behavior, which included feuding, clubbing and making out."The average age of the magazine's readership is 16 — do they really want to support the behavior depicted [in The Hills]?" snipes a source."They also started to see that newsstand sales were flat ... There was no blip on the radar when Lauren and Whitney were involved."Insiders tell WWD that Conrad and Port will be featured in some sort of working capacity, but not at Teen Vogue. In The Hills season finale, Conrad and Port jetted off to Paris to assist a Teen Vogue editor at a ball. Footage from the trip will be featured in eight "bonus" episodes airing this spring. An air date has not been announced.I bet Heidi is laughing her ass off.
